Abstract

In these notes from the Fortune 500 Seminar, Pollard reflects on the insecurity of employment and the ways in which many take cultural pluralism to the extreme. He contends that in a world in which identity is unstable and national borders are ceasing to exist, it is all the more important to "enhance standards of living by enhancing the value of what people contribute to the economy."
