Description

In 2015, Washington State University opened a new Center for Digital Scholarship and Curation (CDSC), a collaboration between the WSU Libraries and the College of Arts and Sciences. The central goal of the CDSC is to foster the creation of digital tools, projects, public programming, and educational opportunities for the many publics the University serves with an emphasis on ethical curation and collaborative scholarship. This session will describe the limits of teaching within a special collections reading room and the opportunities offered by “third spaces,” such as the CDSC, to engage students with primary sources.
