Examine primary sources using Whitman’s ladies magazines collection, featuring Good-Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal, McCall’s, and Woman’s Home Companion! This roundtable discussion will showcase the final project assignment in Library 100, a one credit library course. For the final, students analyze materials from the magazine collection, develop research questions, create a bibliography, and present their findings. Participants will have the opportunity to explore magazines, assignment details, and grading rubric. What will you discover?
