The 1923 Cascade includes the music and lyrics to the school song ("Mid'st the mountains of the Westland"); a list of faculty with photographs; student photographs and reports of college and high school classes; information on the normal department including a list of graduates; a report on the arts (including the SPC Orchestra, Girls' Glee Club, Men's Glee Club, Orpheus Club, and the program of the Second Annual May Festival Concert); photographs of the campus; a note on religious activities and groups (Student Volunteer Band and the Ministerial Association); reports on campus social activities including the campus social calendar; a description of the College Girls Hiking Club; student-written poems, stories, and essays; a report on athletics (hikes, intramural basketball tournaments for boys and girls, volleyball, baseball, an annual tennis tournament, an annual track meet, and men's varsity basketball); a list of alumni; and a section of jokes ("Daily Laughs") and advertisements for Seattle-area businesses.
