Abstract
This document serves as an outline for a speech given at the Moody Bible Institute Board of Directors Conference (The Cove - Asheville, NC). In it, Pollard provides an "outsider's perspective" regarding Moody's board and offers a few lessons concerning governance, innovation, and mission. In particular, he urges the board to consider itself as an institution of service rather than one of power or privilege.
