Abstract

In this address at Delta Lambda Kappa in late September 1983, Pollard reflects on the eighteenth century's Great Awakening. In particular, he focuses on how the movement's emphasis on freedom is constitutive of the American way of life and thus, by extension, ServiceMaster's corporate culture.
