Description

Our research has focused on adapting the CRISPR/cas9 system to create a proC2 mutant strain of Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58. We aim to find the optimal length of homology to the organism's genome in comparison to an inserted fragment of DNA to drive homology directed repair. Through this we are able to create a proC2 gene knockout to be used in further studies of gene duplication.
