Letter from Florence DeShazer to her family in Toddville, Iowa, describing the family's trip to Hiroshima; their progress in language learning; some of their day-to-day activities, including hosting Jacob's former guard Misawa; some of their missionary activities; and giving a brief update on Paul and John. The original letter is difficult to read; a transcription by Carol DeShazer Dixon is included.
