Abstract

Letter from Florence DeShazer to Jacob's brother Glen and family in Oregon, telling the stories of Jacob's former guard (she calls him the Nanking Guard) and of the woman who wanted to kill Jacob but was converted by his message instead (Miss Fukumoto is her name, but she is not named in the letter); describing their missionary and teaching activities in their home plus their own study of Japanese; and describing the stream of visitors that come to the DeShazer house.
