Description
This study focuses on how involvement on campus with faculty, staff, and peers affects one’s academic pursuit and achievement. Academic pursuit, one’s desire to be involved, and academic achievement, grade point average (GPA), suggests a student's perceived belonging is affected. Using the measures University Belonging Questionnaire (UBQ), Campus Climate Scale, and Extracurricular Involvement Scale (EIS), the relationships between academic pursuit, academic achievement, belonging, and college climate were analyzed. Data was collected from Seattle Pacific University students aged 18-24. We will conduct an indirect effects model test to examine the mediating effects of belonging.
