ABSTRACT
The issue of students discipline is a pervasive and constant and constant challenge to both the parents and school administration. Government secondary schools most particularly in fako division have suffered alarming deterioration in students discipline in the past decade, resulting to severe moral decadence in and out of our school environments. In Government schools in Cameroon disciplinary power of teachers and administration is provided by ministerial circulars. It is an organic necessity, which both the managers of discipline and the students adhere to, providing them with rules of action. The paper posits that the cause and kinds of disciplinary problems experienced in the afor mentioned schools are determinant of the innovations made to curb the indiscipline. To this end, truancy, absenteeism, fighting, stealing, drug addiction, and the negative use of digital gadgets, among others, are typical examples of disciplinary problems in government secondary schools in fako division. While parental/home, political, social, economic, school environment, school curriculum, and peer group influence, among others, are the causes of most indisciplinary problems. Well before now, it has been a daunting task to handle the range of indisciplinary acts. This paper sorts to establish the various innovations being put in place for managing student indiscipline in secondary schools in fako division.
