Description
While research has been done on the effectiveness of therapy on perinatal individuals, there is a lack of research on the effect of couples' therapy in the perinatal period. This study seeks to examine the impact of couples' therapy on perinatal couples. Couples for this study will be pregnant to one year postpartum and in therapy for three or more sessions. The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7) will be administered to each partner of the couple prior to, during, and at conclusion of therapy. An ANOVA will be used for data analysis.
