Description

We investigated the relationships between different aspects of guilt-proneness and word count of text responses regarding interpersonal offenses. Research has examined guilt-proneness and its adaptive qualities with repair and forgiveness, and we hypothesized there to be a correlation. This study will look at two samples, one (n = 400) where an exploratory analysis was performed and the initial result found, and the second will be analyzed as a confirmatory sample. Overall, we found and expect to confirm a significant correlation between guilt-proneness and word count (r = 0.23), and repair tendencies and word count (r = 0.26).
